How We Handle AR Follow-ups

A clear, accountable four-step process from intake to outcome.

2
Payer Outreach
Our team contacts payers via portal, phone, and electronic inquiry — tracking claim status and escalating stalled accounts.
3
Denial Identification
During follow-up, we identify denials that can be overturned and route them immediately to the denial management team.
4
Resolution & Reporting
Every follow-up outcome is documented and reported — giving you full visibility into outstanding balances and collection progress.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions about Medical Coding
Are your coders certified?
Yes. All our coders hold active CPC (Certified Professional Coder) credentials from AAPC, and many hold additional specialty certifications. We only assign coders with matching specialty experience to each client account.
How do you handle documentation that is unclear or incomplete?
When documentation is insufficient to support the intended code, our coders issue a query to the treating provider requesting clarification before assigning a code. We never assume or guess — this protects your compliance and your reimbursement integrity.
What coding systems do you support?
We code in CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10-CM/PCS (diagnosis and inpatient procedure codes), and HCPCS Level II (supplies, DME, drugs, and non-physician services). We also apply appropriate modifiers per payer guidelines.
How do you stay current with annual code changes?
Our coding team undergoes mandatory training each year on CMS annual code updates (effective October 1 for ICD-10 and January 1 for CPT/HCPCS). We also monitor payer-specific LCD/NCD policy updates throughout the year and update our coding protocols accordingly.
Can you audit our existing coding for errors?
Absolutely. Our coding audit service reviews a sample of your historical encounters to identify undercoding, overcoding, modifier errors, and compliance risk patterns. We then provide a detailed findings report with correction recommendations — this is available as a standalone engagement or as part of our full RCM service.

Turn Your Unpaid Claims
into Cash Flow

Every day a claim sits unpaid is a day your practice is financing your payers. Our AR follow-up team chases every dollar owed until it lands in your account.
